Our portfolio of luxury rentals provides the perfect homebase for settling into the Jackson Hole groove and making the most of your time in the valley. Even better, we have ideas for how to get out there, whether you’re pursuing a banner week in the snow or something a little more supine. Here’s Vacationing Jackson Hole, cut four ways.

Out of Bounds

You crave thrills. If you’re at one point and an unsullied slope at another point, you’re in search of the shortest line to connect them both. Lines, incidentally, look a heck of a lot like skis. We don’t need to explain to you why you find yourself in Jackson Hole this winter. You know why.

Jackson Hole High Mountain Skiing

  • Go outside the gates at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort with a full day of guided skiing in the backcountry off the top of the Tram on Rendezvous Mountain. Expert guides will give you a refresher course on avalanche transceiver protocol before you hit the slopes, customizing your tour to your preferred ratio of hiking to shredding. Venture further afield to Teton Pass, the beloved local backcountry haven, as well.
Jackson Hole Heli Ski Chopper Takeoff
  • There’s out of bounds and then there’s really out of bounds. Book your helicopter for private heli-skiing in terrain that few people see, let alone ski.
  • Of course, after every day lived on the edge, you’ve got to take the edge off. Pony up to the bar at Q Roadhouse & Brewing Company, order a locally brewed beer, and polish off a pint or two while swapping mountain tall tales.
  • Get outfitted with high-tech, high-performance local gear at the new Stio Mountain Studio in Teton Village.

Full Family Getaway

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has revolutionized the Wyoming family ski trip by upping their intermediate terrain game in recent years. Whatever level you ski, there’s something for you. And that’s just one aspect of everything you can explore in the valley.

  • Set aside some guilt-free time for yourself on the mountain while your family makes lifelong memories and conquers new heights (pun intended). Uber-popular Kids’ Ranch small-group programs pair seasoned locals with beginning to advanced skiers from three years on up. Not only do these programs offer lots of learning, they tend to inspire a permanent appreciation for the mountains.
  • Better yet? Kids Night Out extends the fun so that you can slip away for date night.
Lit Antler Arches

Jackson Hole Town Square
  • Stroll the Town Square with youngsters in tow to marvel at the elk antler arches and potentially take a whirl on the skating pond.
  • Ask us about inviting a private chef or food delivery service into your home to take the hassle out of meal prep, snack stocking, or an empty larder.
  • Book an all-day snowmobiling excursion with your slightly bigger littles. Vast vistas; snowy trees as far as the eye can see; possible critter sightings: they’ll be talking about this one for years.
  • Located conveniently next to the Kids Ranch, Jackson Hole Sports Jr. carries tried-and-true gear and rentals in kid-friendly sizes.

Animal Lovers

Wildlife is out in force during the Jackson Hole winter. As they forage for food in the snow and bed down in their winter ranges, the timing is rich to appreciate our special ecosystem against a backdrop of white.

Red Fox Visiting Jackson Hole
  • Consider booking a half- or full-day wildlife tour. You’ll be led by wildlife biologists to prime viewing spots, have access to high-powered scopes, and best of all? You don’t even have to get out of the van if you don’t want to.
  • The next suggestion is truly a twofer: visit the collection of art illuminating man’s relationship to nature at the National Museum of Wildlife Art. The galleries, which span the works of master oil painters like Carl Rungius to fresh new works highlighting international conservation, are not to be missed.
  • Just across the highway, you’ll see the pristine expanse of the National Elk Refuge, which has been harboring a Wyoming elk herd during the winter months since its designation in 1912. Take a sleigh ride to see the ungulates up close and personal. A huge variety of other wildlife make the refuge their home as well: Trumpeter swans, bighorn sheep, and the occasional wolf can all be viewed here.
  • Take a breather in downtown Jackson and check out the wares of internationally renowned wildlife photographers Henry Holdsworth and Thomas Mangelsen before warming up with a steaming bowl of pho at the Lotus Cafe, which recently opened in a new location off the Town Square.
  • This is perfect fuel for a cross-country ski in Grand Teton National Park. During the winter, the Inner Loop of the park closes to vehicle traffic and is groomed for snowshoers, skiers, and hearty walkers. See the park in solitude. You might spot some wildlife, too! Rent gear at Skinny Skis.

Mountain Luxe

Wrap yourself up in world-class amenities. Escape the cold and luxuriate in front of the fire. Stock your home with unique and stunning gifts. Relax. Repeat.

  • If spas are your thing, a full range of treatments, soaking tubs, saunas, and more are available right in Teton Village or downtown Jackson. Ask our concierge team to select the right one for you. Then, all you need to do is show up and bliss out.
  • Book a private sleigh ride excursion along the Snake River with Jackson Hole Vintage Adventures. The tours bring snow glamping to a new level with their charming tipis situated bankside with superlative views of the Tetons. Gourmet appetizers, suppers, and more are included depending on which package you choose.
  • Steel your credit cards for a shopping excursion in downtown Jackson or Teton Village. Galleries such as Altamira Fine Art, Diehl, Heather James, and Tayloe Piggott are stalwarts of the contemporary collectors’ scene in Jackson Hole. For apparel, try Habits off the Town Square or Rodeo in Teton Village.  For homewares, Dwelling and Twenty Two Home offer plenty of inspiration. Ask our team for even more suggestions.
  • Savor a sumptuous meal paired with handcrafted cocktails by reservation at Sub Rosa, The Rose’s exclusive entree into the local dining scene.

Fine Dining at Sub Rosa
  • Cap an extraordinary evening with a quick walk over to the Center for the Arts, a modern masterwork that hosts world-class speakers, performing artists, and more. You may be deep in the Wyoming wilds, but that doesn’t mean you can’t screen an opera or catch Ira Glass, live and on stage. What’s on this week?
