Experience one or all three of the area ski resorts. With over 2,500 skiable acres and epic powder, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers some of the best skiing in North America.
Snow King Mountain, known as the“Town Hill,” is a hub of activity. This resort has a brand-new gondola and the steepest north-facing slope in the Lower 48.
Grand Targhee is located in Alta, Wyoming, on the western slopes of the Teton Range and is very family-friendly, with wide-open powder fields. Targhee is about an hours’ drive from Jackson.
Private lessons
Taking in winter here without testing out a pair of skis will never do. Each resort in our region offers private lessons so that you will feel comfortable with getting started. And after skiing Jackson Hole, there’s a good chance you’ll be back time and time again.
Heli-skiing
For advanced skiers, the heli-skiing adventure is a way to ditch the slopes and embrace the magical territory that can be found far beyond our resorts. Ski through forests and untouched terrain, making your “first tracks” an extraordinary adventure.

There is so much to do in Jackson Hole. Rush downriver in a kayak. Ride horseback through a sea of golden grass. Cast a line into water clear as the sky, while the fish flash by like stars.
