The Best Après Ski Plans for your Jackson Hole Winter Ski Vacation

Jackson Hole has become a favorite destination for skiing fans and après ski connoisseurs who love to visit in winter. Between the enviable slopes and the super luxurious hotels and spas, there’s something to impress everyone. There’s no need to compromise — even when bringing younger family members along on your ski vacation.

While planning your visit during the winter months, make sure to enjoy the whole experience the area has to offer. You’ll be busy with plans on your dream ski vacation, but what about the fun and relaxation needed after a long day on the slopes? There’s no shortage of ways to wind down when visiting Jackson Hole in winter — and we’re about to share our favorites.

Spa Day Facial Massage

Enjoy a spa experience at the Four Seasons

Recharge and recover or simply slow down in a luxury setting.

The Four Seasons Après at the Spa experience starts with a 25-minute long body soak in Himalayan salts while sipping champagne. After your muscles and mind are fully relaxed, a warm massage, enhanced with local hot stones and arnica, is the perfect end to a ski day. Help restore and improve circulation and flexibility while reducing swelling and other aches and pains. This opportunity allows you to wake up like new the next day and continue skiing to your heart’s content.

Get a natural detox at Hotel Terra’s Chill Spa

You worked hard all day on the slopes — treat yourself.

Pamper yourself with all-natural organic treatments and therapies at this tranquil rooftop spa. This is the ideal place for eco-lovers who prefer a more intimate and low-key end to their days. Guests can simply chill in the outdoor infinity pool (or the hot tub) overlooking the gorgeous Village Commons. The view is sure to remind you of a Christmas village from such an elevated and private location that will get you pumped to get back to your Jackson Hole ski vacation plans the following day.

Visit the Village Commons

Family-friendly fun with cool snow caves, an ice rink, and hot chocolate to drink.

On those days when the family is ready for a change of pace, head to the Village Commons after skiing. You can warm your body and heart with some hot chocolate by the cozy fire pit while the kids make snow statues, hide in snow caves, and play on the ice rink. Stay as long as you wish in this magical place that is open 24 hours and charges no entrance fee.

Eat and shop around Bodega

Delectable food and high-quality products in a relaxed location.

This is a great spot for no-fuss dinner plans with friends and family as you can choose from simple — yet delicious — meals and snacks. It’s a great place to have a craft beer or glass of wine while bonding with loved ones, feeding children sandwiches and ice cream they’ll truly enjoy, and even grabbing some edible gourmet souvenirs to take back home as a delicious reminder of your vacation.

Enjoy the delicious dining options at Dornans

A spot with varied foods for all tastes and a wine shop with an impressive selection.

Choose between burgers and gourmet sandwiches at the Chuckwagon Grill or specialty pizzas and pasta at Pizza & Pasta Co. And if you can’t choose, just enjoy a Baked Rigatoni one night and a Buckin’ Buffalo Burger the following day. You could even come back for a Mount Moran on a third day if you want to try one of the specialty pizzas. After you’re done eating, finish your night with some locally brewed beer or glass of wine at Dornans Wine Shop.

Taste a unique selection of beers at StillWest

This brewhouse overlooks Snow King Mountain and even offers some food options to accompany your drinks.

Their artfully crafted locally sourced beers are a must for beer lovers and their true specialty, but they also offer seasonally inspired cocktails, if you want something a little different. Make sure to head to the Tap Room during your visit for all the StillWest beers are made in-house and you won’t find them anywhere else. You can even pick your favorite variety and buy crowler cans to take home as souvenirs or to drink during your other planned (or unplanned) adventures. If your Jackson Hole ski vacation coincides with a special day, StillWest will rent out the Tap Room for your private celebration, so be sure to think of any upcoming occasions while planning your winter visit.

Silver Dollar Bar Dance Floor

Go dancing at the Wort Hotel’s Silver Dollar Bar

Practice your two-step while the beloved local band, One Ton Pig, plays live while visiting Jackson Hole in winter. There’s no cover charge — and this is a favorite spot for both visitors and locals, so make sure to arrive early before it gets packed to claim a dancing spot or a seat. The fun starts at 7:30 pm and the band plays until 11:00 pm.

Attend the Hootenanny at Dornans Spur Bar

If you’re a fan of music and musical open mics and want to add something different to your Jackson Hole Ski Vacation, this is something you can’t miss. You can only experience this unique treat on Mondays, and it’s open to all, so you can even participate if you’re not musically inclined. Arrive at 5 pm to be part of the show or at 6 pm if you just want to sit back and enjoy.

Grab a craft cocktail at The Rose

Talk about pioneering businesses: The Rose was the first craft cocktail bar attached to a theater in the country! This bar was designed as a place that offers the highest level of quality in cocktail creation. The bartenders’ training and skills match those of bigger and more famous competitors in big cities, so you won’t be missing anything when visiting Jackson Hole in winter. You can enjoy the elegant atmosphere and amazing cocktail offerings right there or order them to-go 7 days a week. They also host private events for your special celebrations during your Jackson Hole ski vacation.

Have the best steak of your life at the White Buffalo Club

A must-try for steak lovers visiting Jackson Hole. Creative chef creations combined with the top 2% best quality beef in the country make for an unforgettable experience for your taste buds. They also offer fish and other non-meat options, but they’re the only certified USDA Prime Steak House in the area, making a good-old-fashioned steak the unmistakable star of the place. It’s all delicious, tender, locally sourced Wagyu beef and a great energy source on chilly winter days.

Enjoy a rustic experience at the Mangy Moose

If you can’t choose just one thing and want a bit of everything, this traditional rustic tavern and restaurant will fit the bill — no matter what. The Mangy Moose offers fresh and locally sourced food at good prices and a great wine selection in an eclectic place with live music. It’s a fun place to hang out and have a meal and drinks any day and time during your ski vacation.

It’s clear that Jackson Hole offers the perfect setting for your ski vacation, but there is a whole lot more to do here during your visit than hitting the slopes. From specialty food and drinks, fun nightlife, eco-friendly spa experiences, and even activities for youngsters, you won’t run out of things to do — you might even decide to visit every winter for years to come.
