Downhill Skiing

Experience one or all three of the area ski resorts. With over 2,500 skiable acres and epic powder, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers some of the best skiing in North America.

Snow King Mountain, known as the​“Town Hill,” is a hub of activity. This resort has a brand-new gondola and the steepest north-facing slope in the Lower 48. 

Grand Targhee is located in Alta, Wyoming, on the western slopes of the Teton Range and is very family-friendly, with wide-open powder fields. Targhee is about an hours’ drive from Jackson.

Sightseeing Tours

Take advantage of the opportunity to see Jackson Hole’s abundant wildlife in its natural habitat. Enjoy public or private wildlife tours that are educational, entertaining, and memorable.

Your guide will offer a plethora of information on the surrounding geography, flora, fauna, and history of Jackson Hole. Great for families who want to learn more about the National Parks and Jackson Hole.

The Center For The Arts

Jackson Hole Center for the Arts

The Center for the Arts hosts a wide range of concerts, theatrical performances, and events from local and nationally known artists, alike. An assortment of classes is offered at this culturally rich hub. They range from culinary arts, to languages, digital photo instruction, and more. 

The warmer months feature use of the outdoor amphitheater, and the five hundred seat, indoor theater remains active year-round. Plan an evening with your family, and take advantage of what The Center has to offer.

Persephone Bakery

Persephone Bakery offers artisanal breads and pastries, all made with love and high-quality ingredients. With options such as Croque Madame as a breakfast favorite, and truffled Prosciutto for lunch, you can’t go wrong when you choose to enjoy a meal at Persephone.

This specialty bakery has a tasty presence all over Jackson, as their goods may be found at Picnic, Albertsons, and Smith’s. Take Persephone along on one of your day trips; it will make your excursion even more memorable.

Bin 22

Just steps away from Town Square, Bin 22 offers a diverse selection of wine, beer, and spirits. Grab a bottle of wine from their shop, take it with you to the bar, table, or outdoor deck, and pay no corkage fee! 

The food at Bin 22 is tapas-style, so come prepared to share. Inspired by his travels in Tuscany and Spain, owner Gavin Fine has nailed a formula of small plate fare enhanced by carefully selected wines and an ever-evolving variety of beer.

Enjoy lunch, happy hour, or dinner at Bin 22.

Elk Refuge Sleigh Ride

Delight in a horse-drawn sleigh ride among thousands of elk on the National Elk Refuge, consisting of nearly 25,000 acres devoted to elk winter range. This unique excursion combines the charm of the Old West with wildlife viewing, and it is the perfect way to create wintertime memories in Jackson Hole.

Participants convene at the Visitor’s Center, just north of Town Square, on Cache Street. Be prepared: dress in your warmest outfit, and bring your camera to capture the majestic elk in an up-close experience like no other.

Sightsee by Snowshoe

Enjoy the scenery of Grand Teton National Park while snowshoeing with a guide or on your own. This is a classic outdoor activity that will give you the ability to maneuver in areas of deep snowfall.

Consider snowshoeing a method of hiking in cold weather, with the added magical silence of a winter snowscape. The terrain that beckons in Grand Teton National Park allows access for the whole family. Strap on a pair of snowshoes, and make beautiful memories during your wintertime visit.

The clear, dark skies over Jackson Hole depict nature’s majesty, offering astronomy buffs the opportunity to enjoy the limitless wonders of our galaxy. With wide-open spaces, Jackson is the perfect place to view stars, planets, and so much more.

A Day at the Art Museum

The National Museum of Wildlife Art provides a rare opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat, and view the world class artwork that pays tribute to it.

The museum’s mission is to collect, display, interpret, and preserve the most distinctive North American wildlife art, with supplemented works sourced from around the globe.

Highlights include the museum’s restaurant, and regular offerings of events for children, art themed lectures, films, and evening programming.

Experience Dog Sledding

Taking a tour via dog sled is one of the most unique and fulfilling ways to absorb the Teton landscape. After a brief orientation, you’ll have the opportunity to drive the team, or you can simply tuck-in and enjoy the ride.

The Bistro

Drawing on inspiration from Parisian style neighborhood brasseries, The Bistro presents comfortable European dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This highly acclaimed eatery brings seasonal, beautifully prepared and presented dishes to life with outdoor café seating, a stunning zinc bar, and fresh oyster bar. 

This culinary treasure can be found inside The Cloudveil Hotel. If you are a fan of the Modern West design movement, this gorgeous hospitality space will capture your attention.

Winging it at Teton Raptor Center

Founded in 1991, the Teton Raptor Center now cares for more than 103 injured birds each year at its Wilson, Wyoming rehabilitation facility. The center offers free programs throughout the year at Teton Village, Snow King, and other venues. 

With a chance to learn about raptors up close, appreciation for their role in our environment aids in ongoing conservation efforts. Teton Raptor Center teaches over thirty thousand participants every year.

Art Classes with the Art Association of Jackson Hole

The Art Association of Jackson Hole offers a myriad of classes for all ages. You will find a variety of activities such as painting, pottery, and silversmithing. Art Association youth courses are varied, engaging, and designed to foster a love of creativity.

Located in the Center for the Arts, you can also stroll through several galleries that feature a rotation of artists. The Art Association also hosts several art fairs throughout the year. Take an artful piece of Jackson home with you!

Jackson Hole Still Works

Jackson Hole Still Works is our only local, craft distillery. Just five minutes from downtown Jackson, they offer facility tours and will walk you through their distiller’s processes. You will also be introduced to the work of the local artist who creates their labels. 

Gift yourself a piece of the Wild West, and take home the flavors of Jackson Hole. While immersing yourself in the experience, be sure to enjoy one of their famous sloshies. 21+

Take a Soak at Astoria Hot Springs

Stewarded by Astoria Park Conservancy, Astoria Hot Springs features five different man-made soaking pools filled with natural thermal waters, which are controlled at different temperatures in each pool. 

The mineral waters at Astoria Hot Springs are unique to the site and include magnesium, sulfur, and other minerals that have been known to benefit one’s health.

Situated along the banks of the Snake River, Astoria Hot Springs is one of Jackson’s most unique outdoor experiences.
